Back in her native island after many years in Canada, Catherine rediscovers with pleasure the colours and the people of Mauritius. Her photography is spontaneous according to her encounters and explorations throughout the island, as well as Rodrigues. Her artistic sensitivity, her passion and her fear to see the authenticity and the soul of her beloved island disappear are transposed on her photographs.She tries to capture the essence and the true light of Mauritius in the purest way possible.
